The Eagle and Child aka The Bird and the Baby

Probably one of the most interesting places I’ve had the pleasure of grabbing lunch: The Eagle & Child (known as the Bird and Baby by its regulars, literary giants of the 20th century, JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis). Boasting traditional British pub food and brews, this little hole in the wall in Oxford, England has been dishing out shepherd’s pie and battered cod for over 350 years. And as you can see below, the space is still frequented by academics from the area.

So until this point, I just thought that I had experienced shepherd’s pie. I even considered it one of my favorites. Let me tell you, this was the real deal. Filler.
