Philadelphia, PA
My trip to Philly was a short one, but definitely interesting enough to document. Although it was primarily a work trip (Lightfair 2019), we managed to squeeze some shenanigans in there among the professionalism, networking, and seminars. I’ll summarize key points below:
Saw a lot of really cool lights (luminaries if we’re being fancy)
Learned that high school parties turn into college parties turn into industry parties
Appreciated the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall
Ended up in Chinatown way later than I’ll admit
Spilled wine all over my coworker (and an exhibit) at the science museum
Had a Philly cheese steak and wondered why there was ketchup on it
Was pleasantly surprised that top members of the lighting industry can throw together a pretty damn good band.
